Conservation Station Programs
Upcoming Programs in the Conservation Station (adjacent to the Carolina Children's Garden), sponsored by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District and the Richland Conservation Commission in cooperation with Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the SC Midlands Master Gardener Association, and the Richland Master Gardener Association:
- Little Leaves Nature Study. Join us for a nature-themed story time, nature walk, and scavenger hunt. Wednesday, June 23, 9 am -10 am. $2 per child supplies fee; recommended for ages 3-7. - Air Quality: Take a Lichen to Our Air. What is a lichen and how can it be used to measure air quality? Come find out! Thursday, June 24, 3 pm - 4:30 pm. $2 per child supplies fee; recommended for ages 8-14. Meet in the Children's Garden parking lot. Limit 15. Group programs will be offered through the Conservation Station throughout the summer on topics related to soil, water, air, forestry, wildlife, and geology; group programs in the Children's Garden will resume in the fall.
