It takes more than water to make the gardens grow! The Children's Garden depends on gifts, donations, grants and volunteers to sustain its programs. Friends of the Children's Garden is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization overseeing the garden. Gifts and cash donations are tax deductible. Volunteer Workdays:  Master Gardener workdays are held on the first Thursday of the month.  If your service group is interested in joining with the Master Gardeners to maintain and improve the Children's Garden during one of these scheduled workdays, please contact carolinachildrensgarden@gmail.com.

Other volunteer opportunities are also available! If you are interested in contributing your time to help with garden maintenance or with education programs, please contact Tim Nafziger at carolinachildrensgarden@gmail. com or (803) 459-3212. We strive to inspire, educate and motivate the community to use gardening as a tool to bring families in touch with nature and each other.

Carolina Children's Garden programs are presented by the South Carolina Midlands Master Gardener Association in cooperation with the Richland County Master Gardener Association. They are funded in part by a grant from the Richland County Conservation Commission. Conservation Station programs are presented by the Richland County Soil and Water Conservation District and are funded in part by a grant from the Richland County Conservation Commission.  Both the Carolina Children's Garden and the Conservation Station are sponsored by the Clemson University Sandhill Research and Education Center.  Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, a sponsor and partner of the Carolina Children's Garden and Conservation Station, offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer.
